Are there any other charges I will be asked to pay?

To be accepted for a hire vehicle you must pass a DVLA license check.

There are also several other charges which may be made depending upon your circumstances, your use of the vehicle and the condition and circumstances of the vehicle when it is returned. These charges include: Additional Driver, High Risk Driver, Late Vehicle Return, Excess Mileage, Damage, Low Fuel, Non Payment of Fine/Fees and Cancellation. Can other people drive the vehicle?

Yes, you may add up to three additional drivers at the time of arranging the hire vehicle. Each driver must pass a DVLA license check and a charge per day will be made for each driver for each day of the hire. All additional driver charge will be made for the whole hire period.

What happens if I drive more than the permitted 500 miles during the hire period?

Over the weekend you are permitted to drive the car for 500 miles. For each extra mile driven over the 500 mile limit, a surcharge will be added.

What happens if I cannot collect the vehicle or choose to not turn up?

Any cancellations for any reason will be charged at 50% of the full weekend hire rate (excluding any additional charges). This charge will be made 24 hours after the hire was scheduled to commence.

What happens if I damage the vehicle?

When the vehicle is returned the branch manager and/or a member of the branch team will check the vehicle for damage. If any damage is found you will be charged the full cost of any repairs, including any administration and management costs.

What happens if the vehicle is returned and I have been smoking in it?

If you are found to have been smoking in the vehicle you will be charged the cost of a full valet. It will be at the Branch Manager's full discretion to assess this charge. All charges are explained in full detail on the relevant terms and conditions pages.

What happens if the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty condition and has to be fully valeted?

Again if the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty condition you will be charged the cost of a full valet. It will be at the Branch Manager's full discretion to assess this charge. All charges are explained in full detail on the relevant terms and conditions pages.

What happens if I return the vehicle with insufficient fuel?

It is your responsibility to return the hire vehicle with the same level of fuel that it was provided with when you hired it. You will be charged to refuel the vehicle to this level at the average pump price for the appropriate fuel and a surcharge. What happens if I do not return the vehicle by 9.00am on the correct day?

It is your responsibility to return the vehicle at the correct time. If you do not return the vehicle by the deadline you will be charged a full normal day rate. This rate will be charged for each subsequent day that the vehicle is returned late.
